Do you have a finished or nearly finished book but feel nervous about setting up Amazon KDP or uploading your files? This private two-hour session will walk you through the process step by step in plain language.

You’ll work directly with Amina Hilton using your own Amazon KDP account and book project. This session is designed for beginners who need patient, practical help understanding the account settings, book information, upload screens, pricing, and final review process.

During this session, you’ll learn how to:

Sign in to or set up your Amazon KDP account
Understand the difference between your private legal account information and your public author name
Review the identity-verification, tax, banking, and payment sections
Understand how Amazon sends royalty payments
Enter your book title, subtitle, author name, description, and publishing rights
Review keywords and categories
Choose the correct trim size, bleed setting, paper type, and cover finish
Upload your interior manuscript file
Upload your full paperback cover file
Use the KDP Print Previewer
Identify margin, bleed, sizing, or cover errors
Review your list price, printing cost, and estimated royalty
Understand what happens after you submit the book for review

Depending on how prepared your files are, you’ll leave with either:

Your book uploaded and ready for final review or submission, or
Your KDP account reviewed with a clear correction checklist showing exactly what must be fixed before uploading

This session is focused on helping you understand the process—not rushing you into publishing a book that isn’t ready.

You don’t have to be a publishing expert. You only need properly prepared files, accurate information, and someone who can calmly walk you through the screens one step at a time.

What to Bring

Please have the following ready before your appointment:

A laptop or desktop computer
A reliable internet connection
Access to the email connected to your Amazon account
Your completed or nearly completed interior file
Your completed paperback cover file
Your final title, subtitle, and author name
Your book description
Possible keywords and categories
Your intended trim size
Your planned book price
Any error messages or screenshots you’ve already received from KDP

If your files aren’t finished, we can still review your KDP account and identify what you need before uploading.

Private Information and Account Security

You will personally enter all sensitive information during the session.

This may include:

Passwords
Social Security number or tax identification number
Banking and routing information
Government-issued identification
Security codes
Tax information

Amina Hilton will guide you through the screens, but she will not request, collect, record, photograph, or keep your private information.

Never send sensitive banking, tax, password, or identification information by email, text message, or AI prompt.

Important Preparation Rule

Your interior file and cover file must match the trim size and bleed settings selected inside KDP.

The full paperback cover must also match the final page count, paper type, and trim size. If those items don’t match, KDP may reject the files or show errors in the Print Previewer.

Large corrections, extensive manuscript editing, full cover redesign, or complete interior formatting may require a separate session.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled once when at least 48 hours’ notice is provided.

Late cancellations, missed appointments, and no-shows are not refundable. If Amina Hilton must cancel, you may choose a new appointment time or receive a refund.

Please join the Google Meet session five minutes early so the full two hours can be used productively.

What This Session Does Not Include

This session does not include:

Writing an entire manuscript
Editing a full book
Formatting a complete interior from beginning to end
Designing a complete cover from scratch
Guaranteeing Amazon approval
Legal, tax, or financial advice
Marketing or advertising the published book

Amazon makes the final decision regarding file approval, account verification, and publication, publishing result and approvals with 48 hours.
